Garth Brooks, the last major artist to withhold his music from digital and streaming services, has been shopping his new album and making his catalog part of the deal, which would finally make it available for downloads and streams. But he was turned down by UMG and Sony before accepting a rumored $30m offer from Apple.
There was some interest from Spotify, but the absence of a sales component took that option off the table.
