CHART STORY: IT’S
PARTY TIME

The soundtrack to Warner Bros.Suicide Squad remains at #1 on both charts this week, earning approximately 90k on the Sales Plus Streaming (SPS) Chart with 48K of that being pure album sales.

The biggest bow, however, belongs to OVO/Warner Bros.’ PARTYNEXTDOOR, who earned 50k on the SPS Chart to land at #3 with PARTYNEXTDOOR 3.

Taking the #2 spot is Drake’s Views (YMCMB), which just can’t refrain from flaunting its stamina. Views, which dropped 4/29, just hit 3m in SPS RTD. BTW, Drizzy is also featured on the lead single from PND’s set, “Come and See Me.”

As for the other noteworthy debuts, Justin MooreKinda Don’t Care (Valory/BMLG) appears at #4, while Rae Sremmurd’s SremmLife 2 (Eardruma/Interscope) enters at #7.

As for news about less-than-noteworthy hacks, HITS’ 30th Anniversary Special Issue will be rearing its ugly head within the next few weeks. Buy an ad and we won’t run an embarrassing photo of you (Yes, we will…).

Let’s get back to the topic at hand, though.

Following his televised performance of “Blue Ain’t Your Color” in Central Park for GMA’s Summer Concert Series, Keith Urban’s Ripcord (Capitol Nashville) re-enters at #36. Meanwhile, Flume’s Skin (Mom+Pop) made a #41-33 jump; the set’s big single, “Never Be Like You,” was discounted for 69 cents at iTunes

Streeting this week are albums from Dolly/RCA Nashville’s Dolly Parton, Mad Love/Interscope’s Tory Lanez and Lindseystomp’s Lindsey Stirling.

And then there’s Frank Ocean. After teasing fans for what seemed like an eternity, the Def Jam star finally released new music, but he released it via a longform video entitled Endless. As a video, the chart status of Endless is uncertain. That said, Apple execs claim we can expect something else from Ocean this weekend. Could this be the long-anticipated Boys Don’t Cry album?
