TWO BROADCASTING ICONS, NO WAITING

Radio legend Scott Shannon brought a fellow broadcasting luminary, longtime associate and friend Don Benson, onto his WCBS morning drive show in celebration of Shannon's two-year anniversary there. Benson will be feted with the National Radio Award at the upcoming National Association of Broadcasters Marconi Radio Awards on 9/22 in Nashville, which Shannon will host. As with other key figures in our industry, Scott figures prominently in our photo archive, and you'll be seeing some classic images of him very soon. Unless, per our instructions, he delivers the requested funds in unmarked bills in a black backpack behind the gas station on the corner.
