TOVE LO’S “COOL” REVEAL—BUT LET’S NOT PUT A LABEL ON IT

Tove Lo revealed the salient details of her sophomore album, including title, release date and cover art: Lady Wood, as it’s called, drops 10/28 from Island, and the preorder has just kicked in. The new album is divided into two chapters, Fairy Dust and Fire Fade, representing “the emotional curves I go through when I’m chasing any kind of rush,” she explains.

We’ve also learned that the cutting-edge Swedish diva has bucked the ALL-CAPS trend, boldly rendering the title of new single and just-released video “cool girl” in lower-case characters. The track has powered out of the starting blocks: In less than two weeks, cool girl has hit 14 million streams on Spotify and is nearing the Top 20 on the Global Chart.

T-Lo, as we like to call her, embarks on a six-week North American fall tour with Maroon 5 9/3 in San Antonio.
