SPOTIFY STANDINGS: "COLD WATER" & "CLOSER" CONQUER
Last week, Major Lazer's collab track with Justin Bieber and MØ, "Cold Water" (Mad Decent/Def Jam), was #1 on Spotify's U.S., U.K. and global charts. This week, however, The Chainsmokers f/Halsey's "Closer" (Columbia), which is being called the song of the summer by many, took the stateside top spot.
Another hot single driven by the Biebs' vocals—DJ Snake's "Let Me Love You" (Interscope)—entered the U.S. chart at #8, while appearing at #7 in the U.K. and #6 in the world.
