DIERKS BENTLEY TO PERFORM AT NFL OPENER

The day before Capitol Records Nashville’s Dierks Bentley resumes his Somewhere on a Beach tour in Mountain View, Calif., the singer will get a mountain view when he performs at Denver’s Sports Authority Field at Mile High prior to the start of the NFL season opener. Mosley/Interscope’s One Republic is also on the bill.

Bentley and One Republic will be featured throughout the 60-minute pre-game show on NBC. It’s unlikely any of the musicians will be in the stadium when Al Michaels makes an obtuse gambling reference in the fourth quarter.

A rematch of Super Bowl 50, the Carolina Panthers will see if they can do any better against the champion Denver Broncos now that Peyton Manning is out of the picture. Right now, they’re praying Mark “Buttfumble” Sanchez is the starting QB.
