RCA RULES U.K. RADIO

While UMG has ruled the U.K. Singles Chart for the last 15 weeks with Drake, it’s Sony that’s smashing it at radio, thanks to the plugging team at Colin Barlow’s RCA imprint.

Justin Timberlake’s “Can’t Stop This Feeling” has been atop Radiomonitor’s airplay charts for the 11 weeks to 7/21, only to be knocked off by another RCA act on Friday.

Olly Murs “You Don’t Know Love” is the new hot track on British radio, giving RCA three months at the top of the airplay charts. The fourth album from Murs—an X Factor success story— will be released this year on RCA.

RCA now occupies the top 3 spots on the Radiomonitor charts, with Murs at #1, Timberlake at #2 and Sia's "Cheap Thrills" at #3.

Names you need to know are RCA national pluggers James Bass and Nick Goree, who report into Neil Hughes, General Manager at RCA Label Group. Mark Murphy is an independent plugger for Murs.
