30 YEARS OF
BIBLE STUDY

As we prepare to inflict our 30th Anniversary Special Issue upon the world, we've been reviewing our own history pretty closely (yes, we have strong stomachs). But it occurred to us that it might be instructive to look at the Music Industry Bible then and now. So let's compare some headlines from this time in 1986 and from Team Min's most recent issue.

July 26, 1986:

  • EMI Music Restructures Top Management
  • L.A.’s Power 106 is Tops in Spring ARBs
  • PolyGram Chief decries DAT as “cultural vandalism”
  • Committee Seeks to Amend Licensing Bill

July 30, 2016:

  • '90s nostalgia
  • How to get the perfect butt crease
  • The massage doctor to the stars who bites you
  • “Cocoa sniffing” and other holistic trends of artists

As you can see, little has changed.
