Paul McCartney has been named the U.K.’s most successful albums act of all time on the Official Albums Chart 60th birthday, after scoring 22 #1 albums across his career and spending more weeks at #1 (191) than anyone else. Along with the rest of his Beatles bandmates, Macca also has the longest-running debut #1 album and the best-selling studio album ever with Sgt. Pepper (EMI), which has sold 5.1m+ copies in Blighty alone.
