KATY GETS MAX VOLUME WITHOUT LUKE

"Rise," the new Olympics anthem from Capitol's Katy Perry, has hit #1 at iTunes before impacting Pop radio (which is happening as you read this). It's also significant in that it was created without longtime collaborator Dr. Luke; Perry worked with hit-minting cyborg Max Martin this time out. Most thought Katy represented the embattled Luke's last chance of making a comeback; the producer/writer's deal at Sony has been unsuccessful, and the fallout from Kesha's allegations continues to inflict damage. His career arc looks to be in serious trouble. Could he still turn things around?
