The Top 5 Highest-Grossing Films in America Over the Weekend

Universal's much anticipated family flick, The Secret Life of Pets, was #1 at the domestic box office this weekend, scoring approximately $103m. Screening across 4,370 theaters, Pets also premiered with the widest opening ever. Meanwhile, Disney's Finding Dory dropped to #3 after three weeks at #1, earning another $20m to surpass $422m earned domestically so far.
