Indeed, Blink shows even greater momentum as the holiday weekend reaches its red-white-and-blue peak. Let's take a look, based on early sales, at the alt-rockers' formidable new set and 7/1's other top debut, which also happens to mark the return of a veteran act: self-described "progressive-soul" artist Maxwell.

Maxwell (Columbia) 55-60k, 50-55k

Speaking of returning figures from the '90s, one possible VP contender for Donald Trump, according to reports, is Newt Gingrich. We don't really have a joke about this, but it kinda makes its own gravy. Happy Fireworks and BBQ (or air conditioning and bong) to you and yours.
