L.A.'s Fabulous Forum was ranked the #1 western U.S. arena in 2015, and new numbers show that it's still #1 when it comes to the first half of 2016. So far, the largest entertainment-only venue has managed to earn a 36% concert marketshare among Southland events.
And it looks poised to remain top dog. Kanye West's got four nights confirmed, Drake's got three and blink-182 has two, while the Teen Choice Awards are scheduled for 7/31, and that's just the tip of the iceberg. Recent Forum events have included Nickelodeon's 2016 Kids' Choice Awards, a tour stop from Rihanna, as well as Kanye's much-talked-about "Famous" video unveiling.
The Madison Square Garden Company, which owns the Forum, is clearly aware and proud of such success and will be opening a Las Vegas entertainment-only venue that will end up being the largest of its kind in the world.
We at HITS, however, remain the largest schmucks in the world.
