Less than 48 hours after winning the Actor in a Musical Tony Award for his role in Hamilton, Leslie Odom Jr.’s self-titled debut on Steve Greenberg’s S-Curve Records was in the iTunes Top 10, sitting at #7 overall and #1 on the jazz chart as of Wednesday morning. Odom, who portrays Aaron Burr and is the show's narrator, sat down with CBS This Morning Tuesday for his first TV interview since winning the Tony.
Later in the day, he posted this instant-classic phtot on his Instagram. In the shot, he poses with two fellow cast members, Best Featured Actor Daveed Diggs, Best Featured Actress Renee Elise Goldsberry (r), as well as Best Lead Actress Cynthia Erivo from The Color Purple (second from left).
