[PIAS] RESTRUCTURES UNDER POPE

Indie label [PIAS] has revamped its global operations, restructuring several divisions and making several senior staff appointments, with Artist & Label Services MD Adrian Pope leading the new dedicated international team.

[PIAS]'s global operation will provide data analysis, commercial insight, and market intelligence to help artists and labels maximize their activity worldwide through four key divisions.

Edwin Schröter, Group Managing Director of [PIAS], said: “Aside from being one of the smartest and most driven colleagues I have ever worked with, Adrian has an exceptional understanding of today’s dynamic and rapidly developing market place and an unwavering commitment to providing our labels with a best-in class service.

“This expanded global role within [PIAS] will fit him like his Lycra cycling outfit and he will have a dream team to ride with. It is a little crown on our integration process that has brought the best of two great independent companies together.”

Juan Vandervoort will lead Artist & Label Services and Business Development, providing international marketing management, sync and brand services, label management and catalogue exploitation.

Former Harmonia Mundi Benelux MD Reinoud Wollenberg will integrate a dedicated classical and jazz imprint into the division. The company acquired Harmonia Mundi last year.

A 25-strong production and supply chain team will be helmed by Marcel Maessen, with James Howie heading up insights and digital services. Stephanie Schmitz will join to oversee digital distribution.

Finally, Florian Von Hoyer will lead a business operations arm, providing operational support including neighboring rights solutions and the management of the re-developed [PIAS] Portal.
