EK: SPOTIFY NOT
FOR SALE

"I'm not going to sell, no," Spotify co-founder Daniel Ek told a group of journalists at the Brilliant Minds symposium in Stockholm.

Spotify boasts the largest subscriber base in the world with a reported 30m paying customers, but the company’s future intentions have been closely watched, with some investors anticipating an IPO and others saying Spotify’s debt makes it ripe for acquisition by a larger tech company with deep pockets.

"My selfish ambition with Spotify is just trying to show...that we can create one of those super companies here in Europe," Ek noted.
