PROPHETS SET 35-CITY TOUR

Prophets of Rage
, the politically driven band featuring members of Rage Against the Machine, Public Enemy and Cypress Hill, will start a 35-city tour with an appearance in Cleveland during the Republican National Convention on July 19.

Prophets—Tom Morello, Chuck D, B-Real, Tim Commerford, Brad Wilk and DJ Lord—start the proper tour 8/19 in Fairfax, VA, heading to Barclays Center in Brooklyn, NY, 8/17 and The Forum in Inglewood, CA, 9/15. A portion of the proceeds from each show will benefit a local homeless charity.

Morello has described the band as an "elite task force of revolutionary musicians determined to confront this mountain of election year bullshit." In their first shows, held at The Whisky, Hollywood Palladium and Brooklyn’s Warsaw Ballroom, the group’s 20-plus songs sets have been about half Rage Against the Machine songs, a new song, the Beastie Boys’ “No Sleep til Brooklyn” and the rest split between Cyprus Hill and PE tunes.
