DRAKE SCORES SECOND U.K. CHART DOUBLE

Drake is #1 on the U.K.’s Official Singles and Albums Chart for a second week, fighting off close competition from Justin Timberlake and Beyoncé.

Views (Island) logs its second non-consecutive week at #1, beating Lemonade (RCA) by just under 800 chart sales. Drake has broken Lemonade’s one-week sales equivalent streams for a #1 with 12k. Justin Bieber is the overall one-week streaming victor, however, with Purpose (Virgin EMI) notching up 20k, after reaching #2 in November.

Epic act KYGO debuts at #3 with Cloud Nine, Radiohead are down from #1 to #4 with A Moon Shaped Pool (XL) and Meghan Trainor enters in at #5 with Thank You (RCA).

Over on the Official Singles side, Drake’s “One Dance” logs its sixth week at #1, finishing 105k chart sales (including 7.5m streams) ahead of Timberlake’s “Can’t Stop The Feeling” (RCA) with 99k.

Calvin Harris f/Rihanna’s “This Is What You Came For” (Columbia) dips one place to #3, Sia’s “Cheap Thrills” (RCA/Monkey Puzzle) holds at #4 and Mike Posner’s “I Took a Pill in Ibiza” (Island) is at #5. The Stone Roses comeback track “All For One” (Virgin EMI) enters at #17.

On a related note, rules for inclusion in the U.K.’s Official Charts have changed to allow albums that are only available on streaming services chart eligible, meaning Kanye’s The Life Of Pablo and Chance the Rapper’s mixtape have a chance at charting on the Queen’s isle.

Streaming has been included in the OCC’s albums chart since March last year, but albums that were strictly streaming-only, somewhat surprisingly, haven’t been eligible for inclusion.

West’s The Life Of Pablo makes its debut at #30 on the Official U.K.’s Albums Chart this week following the rule change. Chance’s Coloring Book was released on Apple Music exclusively on 5/12, but is yet to be seen in the U.K.’s Top 100.
