EVAN AND J GET THEIR INK ON

Breakout artist and Latin Grammy winner J Balvin (who has collaborated with Justin Bieber, Ariana Grande and Maroon 5, among others) pauses before signing an extension of his worldwide deal with Universal Music Publishing Group for a quick photo. The terms of the deal were later tattooed on the chest of pubco prexy North America Evan Lamberg, who endured the ritual with nary a complaint.

Lamberg announced the deal with Uni's EVP Latin Music, Alexandra Lioutikoff.

“I consider J Balvin one of the greatest global contemporary songwriters/artists in any genre," Lamberg said. "He will be a force for years to come and it’s a complete honor that Universal Music Publishing is his home."

“The massive appeal and magic of J Balvin is yet another example the world is waking up to Latin songwriters and what they can bring to making hits. I’m thrilled that J is part of the global UMPG family and we look forward to helping him further cement his place in the international music arena,” added Lioutikoff.
