JT: A POWERFUL "FEELING" (UPDATE)

"Can't Stop the Feeling," Justin Timberlake's bouncy new single (from the forthcoming DreamWorks animated feature Trolls) remains in the #1 perch at iTunes after a splashy debut last week. Not only that, but the song has already sold 250k+ downloads since bowing on Friday and is on track to surpass labelmate (and fellow ex-lad-band star) ZAYN for the year's best-selling single debut; it could move 350k+ by week's end. "Can't Stop" is also storming the U.S. and global Spotify charts. How big will this song get?

We're thinking pretty big. The RCA megastar's new track (co-written and produced by Max Martin and Shellback) is just hitting Pop and Rhythm radio now; expect the adds to rain down like confetti on the dance floor. But that's just the tip of the iceberg. As we've noted elsewhere, we believe "Can't Stop the Feeling" will become one of those party perennials, like "Happy," "Uptown Funk" and "Get Lucky," that wedding and Bar Mitzvah DJs spin to get everybody moving, forevermore.

JT had a ridiculously long run in the limelight over the life of his 20/20 Experience (3.26m TEA RTD since its 2013 bow), which appeared in two parts that were later conjoined into one Complete set. When he resurfaced with Chris Stapleton on the CMA Awards late last year, he helped his Nashville buddy burst into the mainstream.

Now, with his new track, Timberlake has once again effortlessly seized the spotlight. He doesn't just the move the needle—he fills it with happy drugs.
