A PICTURE WITH THOSE VIEWS (UPDATE)

The debut of Drake’s #1 album Views was preceded by an in-depth, hour-long conversation that aired as a special edition OVO Sound Radio Show on Apple Music's Beats 1 (and repeated a few times since), with Zane Lowe travelling to Toronto to ask his studied questions, effectively using the same town that is the professed muse for this album as the ultimate backdrop.

Their talk, which took place in Noah “40” Shebib’s own recording space where most of the album was made, is significant because Drake offers little access and has been notoriously tight-lipped with the media about his life. But he truly let his guard down with Lowe on a wide swath of topics, that ranged from his experiences and influences making the record, to the strong love/strained relationships with The Weeknd and Nicki Minaj, not to mention Cash Money. It’s a fascinating chat.

Just as Apple Music had done for Taylor Swift’s 1989 World Tour special (also preceded by an extended interview with Lowe), the continuing Views album rollout momentum is now accompanied by a highly produced, dynamically-filmed interview piece, which debuted this morning (5/3) on the service at 9am PST/12pm EST. Check it out below.
