Prince's sister, Tyka Nelson, has revealed that he left no known will and that she's filed paperwork to have a special administrator be appointed to oversee his estate (compliant with Minnesota law in such cases).
That estate, said to be worth in the neighborhood of $300 million, includes several troves of unreleased material recorded throughout the course of the late artist's prodigious career.
Nelson is Prince's sole surviving full sibling; he has several half siblings.
Will a music attorney or manager step in to consult the family in managing the estate's considerable assets? Will there be family drama surrounding the control of those assets, including such songs as "Money Don't Matter 2 Night"? Don't touch that dial.
