Alice Beal, former Marketing Manager at UMG's Virgin EMI, has joined Sony Music U.K. imprint Insanity Records as Label Manager. During her tenure at Universal, which also included a stint as Marketing Coordinator at Polydor, Beal worked with James Bay, BANKS, Ella Eyre, Carly Rae Jepsen, Avicii and Martin Garrix.
Discussing the new appointment, Beal said: "Insanity have built their reputation on being dynamic, ambitious and successful, and this is certainly a mentality I intend to help foster within our label. It is an exciting time, not only for me personally, but also for the brand."
Insanity President Andy Varley added: "Alice is an ambitious, strategic and personable executive. With her in-depth knowledge of music and marketing, and her impressive track record, I'm delighted to have her leading the charge at Insanity Records."
Insanity Records, a long-term partnership between Sony Music U.K. and Insanity Group, began in autumn 2015. The partnership was negotiated by Sony U.K. Chairman/CEO Jason Iley and Varley. The label has Craig David, U.K. singer-songwriter Tom Grennan and U.S. artists Yo Gotti and Benjamin Carlisle on its roster.
