BERKLEE MAKES LUCIAN A DOCTOR

Universal Music Group Chairman/CEO Lucian Grainge and musicians Milton Nascimento, Rita Moreno and Ronald and Ernie Isley will receive honorary doctor of music degrees from Berklee on 5/7.

Moreno, known as a GOAT for winning a Grammy, an Oscar, an Emmy and a Tony, will be the commencement speaker at the ceremony, held at Boston University. Last year, she was a Kennedy Center Honoree.

The honorary doctorate recipients are recognized for achievements and influences in music, and for contributing to American and international culture. Students will pay tribute to the honorees by performing music associated with their careers at a private show on 5/6.
