NEW MUSIC BLIGHTY: A RIGHT OL' MIXED BAG

There’s an interesting mix of new music to be released from our friends over in the U.K. tomorrow, courtesy of Warner band Frightened Rabbit, comeback queens All Saints and young angsty singer/songwriter Misty Miller, signed to Sony label Relentless. Who will make an impact on the charts?

All Saints’ Red Flag could very well be the frontrunner; it’s out via Universal’s London Records and the band's own AS Recordings, and the group is repped by Fascination Management’s Peter Loraine. First single “One Strike” is on the A List at BBC Radio 2, and a very well received gig at London’s 1.4k cap. Koko on Tuesday led to plenty of media coverage.

Frightened Rabbit’s last album, Pedestrian Verse, hit #9 on the U.K.’s Official Singles Chart in 2013. Its successor, Painting of a Panic Attack, is their second to be released via Ben Cook’s Atlantic U.K. imprint and fourth overall, and has been preceded by two new tracks unveiled this week.

Miller is the underdog—a young artist who has dramatically changed direction since her self-titled debut released via AWAL in 2011 (little trace of which can be found online). Relentless boss Shabs Jobanputra has high hopes for Miller, thanks to the frank lyrics and attitude that can be found on The Whole Family is Worried.
