TAYLOR HITS 50 MIL WITH THAT TREADMILL

There's no question Taylor Swift's Apple Music spot has made an impact. It was the treadmill wipeout heard 'round the world.

On 4/1—the day the commercial launched— sales for Drake & Future's "Jumpman," bounced up 400% in U.S. iTunes sales.

But the spot's reach has outpaced some initial reports, as the ad blows past 50m views among the combined social network reach of Facebook, Instagram, Tumblr and of course, YouTube. Add in additional impressions from the broadcast television campaign now in progress, with heavy buys across ESPN, CBS, NBC, ABC and Fox.

Also, word is this isn't the only Swift commercial in the docket; rumor has it it's episode one in a multi-part series featuring Tay.

With this level of engagement for the commercial, will it create a tangible impact for subscriptions?

Feel free to speculate, but that's a number Apple Music keeps close to the vest.

Based on true events. #TAYLORvsTREADMILL @applemusic @champagnepapi @future
