IDOL'S FINAL IMPACT

Following the American Idol finale Thursday night—the final finale, if you will—“Ain’t Your Mama,” the new single from Epic's Jennifer Lopez, which she performed on the show, has landed at #10 on the iTunes chart. Final Idol winner Trent Harmon’s “Falling” sits at #3.

Harmon will get a record deal from 19/Big Machine, as will runner-up La’Porsha Renae, Scott Borchetta announced after the show.

AI's final season has seen a number of strong performances, two of which previously moved the sales needle—the heart-wrenching Kelly Clarkson performance of her single "Piece By Piece" and Sia's fierce rendition/fascinating staging of "Cheap Thrills."
