PRIMARY WAVE'S BUMPER CROPPER

"In the Midnight Hour." "(Sittin' on) The Dock of the Bay." "Mr. Pitiful." "Knock on Wood." While these and other stone classics of '60s soul, which have since become bona fide standards, are typically associated with the artists who recorded them, they were all co-written by Memphis guitar great Steve Cropper. The veteran musician, a Rock, R&B and Songwriters Hall of Fame inductee, has inked a pub deal for his music catalog with Primary Wave.

It's the first deal in PW's new music IP acquisition fund, about which more soon.

Listen for a ton of incredibly soulful TV spots, teasers and trailers coming your way soon.

Cropper, guitar ace for Booker T. and the MG's, who were also the Stax/Volt house band (yes, he also co-wrote their mega-hit, "Green Onions"), counted himself excited about working with "a like-minded, forward-thinking and aggressive team in the Primary Wave family."

Added PW's Larry Mestel, "We are honored to partner with Steve Cropper. Steve’s legendary music has been part of the soundtrack of people’s lives for decades. We are looking forward to working with Steve and [manager] Geddes Bootwright to create new opportunities and innovative marketing ideas to share Steve’s music with future generations of music fans."
