LUMINEERS TO LIGHT UP 9/21 AMERICANA FEST

It’s not even summer, but Jed Hilly’s Americana Fest is in full gear. With T-Bone Burnett already announced as keynote speaker for the roots music festival and conference, The Lumineers have been tapped to kick-off the 17th Annual Americana Festival & Conference portion with a set at downtown Music City’s Ascend Amphitheater.

The crunchy granola version of the Ramones’ “Ho Hey” kick-off celebration is a separate ticketed event—a first for the wrist-band-gets-you-in confab. With the Americana Music Awards going down 9/21 at historic The Ryman Auditorium, the bastion of NPR music lovers nationwide can rejoice in their utter hipness as they converge on the new epicenter of cool: Nashville, TN.
