Nick Jonas' brand new single with Tove Lo, "Close" (Island), is #1 on the Shazam USA Top 100's Biggest Movers list, as it jumps 168 spots to #33 on the chart.
Meanwhile, a cover of Bowie's "Life on Mars" by Glassnote newcomer Aurora is the second Biggest Gainer at #52 with a 149-space leap, thanks to an end credits spot on HBO hit Girls. That show certainly knows how to get peoples' phones pointed at the boob tube.
Jim Croce's "Time in a Bottle" (Rhino) is the #4 Biggest Gainer this week—following Iggy Azalea's recently released "Team" (Def Jam) at #3—thanks to a fantastic sync on a iPhone 6s commercial, which stars none other than Sesame Street favorite Cookie Monster. It's worth noting that this is the first Apple ad to feature someone asking Siri to play music.
And in the U.K., Chaka Khan's "I Feel for You" (Rhino/Warner Bros.) is the ruling tune on that Biggest Movers list, after being used in a Virgin Media commercial.
