CHESNEY'S "NOISE" CRANKS UP AT RADIO

Kenny Chesney's zeitgeisty new single, "Noise" (Blue Chair/Columbia Nashville) is having a noisy first week at radio, scoring 147 adds and bowing on the Mediabase Country chart at #28. The Nashville superstar's biggest prior week was for "Live a Little," which garnered 127 adds on impact week.

The song, co-penned by Chesney, Shane McAnally, Ross Copperman and Joe Nite, addresses our era of media overload in a way that's obviously connecting with programmers and listeners.

Chesney, whose Big Revival delivered four #1 singles, kicks off his Spread the Love Tour on 4/23; a full-length is due this summer.

That other noise you hear is the clinking of champagne glasses (and shots of Fireball) by Sony Nashville chief Randy Goodman, SMN EVP and Columbia VP Steve Hodges, manager Clint Higham and teams.
