The irrepressible Iggy Azalea is back with “Team,” the lead single from her upcoming sophomore album Digital Distortion (Def Jam). The Aussie rapper/singer will give “Team” its live premiere Tuesday (3/22) on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon.
The song, which she co-wrote (she's a Sony/ATV writer, by the by), is her first totally solo single in three years; Chordz and Fuego produced and Omega co-produced, with additional production by Ryan and Lou.
Iggy explained the message behind “Team” in a recent tweet: “I’ve got my own back” and “I am my own team. 20% meaningful 70% bop 10% ratchet.” Can’t argue with that—it adds up to 100%.
The dance video below premiered on Vevo today.
