Since March is Women’s History Month and today (3/8) is International Women’s Day, Live Nation CEO Michael Rapino announced a brand new initiative dedicated to Women in Entertainment called WE Nation.
WE Nation’s mission is to engage and inspire Live Nation women globally in order to support women in the workplace, and was launched as the newest Employee Resource Group (ERG). ERGs are employee-led groups that are supported and funded by the company and aim to educate, inspire, and create community around shared identity or interests.
Live Nation Entertainment currently has ERGs for Black, Asian, Latino, LGBT, and Women employees.
Special events are scheduled all over the world throughout the month of March to help kick off the local chapters of WE Nation.
"Women make up 49% of our full-time employees globally and I am personally grateful for the many accomplishments made by women every day, in every part of our business," said Rapino in the company email.
That email has not yet been found on Hillary Clinton's private server.
