Nick Pacelli, most recently Executive Director of Entertainment at Steve Stoute’s Translation, is joining Republic Records as Senior Vice President of Strategic Marketing & Partnerships. Republic Group President Charlie Walk made the announcement.
Pacelli’s role will be aligning brands and the labels’ artists to create “complete cultural immersion” on albums and projects. To kick things off in style, an entire building in lower Manhattan will be wrapped with his press release.
"Nick's diverse branding experience, along with his understanding of music's global impact and influence, gives us the opportunity to overachieve in this space,” Walk said. “There's no question that Nick will make a massive difference in this newest area of growth for us.”
Pacelli certainly knows his way around the beverage world. At Translation, he was responsible for curating musical scores for American Eagle and Sprite plus spearheading the strategy behind Budweiser's Made In America Music Festival. He’s also a partner in the Los Angeles arcade/bar EightyTwo. His resume includes stints at PMK*BNC, Goodby, Silverstein & Partners and TBWAChiatDay.
“I am excited by our unique ability to lead the modernization for how brands and labels will work together to write the future of our industry,” Pacelli said, just before covering his Varvatos ensemble in sponsorship decals like a NASCAR driver.
Noted Republic topper Monte Lipman, "Ethosssssssss."
