WORLD SAYS
YES TO "NO" (UPDATE)

Epic’s Meghan Trainor dropped new single “NO” on Friday (3/4), and is now #1 on the iTunes singles chart. The rhythmic-pop jam, co-written by Trainor and producer Ricky Reed, is the lead single from the Best New Artist Grammy winner’s Thank You, due 5/13 and now in preorder.

It’s also been blowing up at Top 40 (where she hit the Top 30 in two days), Rhythm and Hot AC (where she’s #29).

“It's been so hard to contain my excitement for the Meghan launch because I know the music she's been making and it's another level,” says Epic EVP Promotion Todd Glassman. “Her songwriting and voice are so in sync with her fans and they feel intertwined for life. I have no doubt that Meghan will be proven to be one of the greats, and I'm just happy to be able to promote the magic.”

Trainor was the subject of a CBS Sunday Morning segment on 3/6, which offered an in-depth portrait of the breakout artist.

Also very pleased to take “NO” for an answer are L.A. Reid, Sylvia Rhone, the rest of Team Epic and manager Troy Carter, who went into detail about the next steps in breaking Meghan in this recent conversation with us.
