WMG WARMS UP TO KUDLER

Warner Music Group has appointed Heath Kudler to the newly created post of EVP Global Repertoire Acquisition. The respected label veteran held senior business and legal affairs positions at Epic from 2011 to 2014 and Island Def Jam, where he spent 15 years. He’s based at WMG’s New York headquarters and reports to CEO International and Global Commercial Services Stu Bergen.

“With two decades of music industry experience under his belt, Heath has developed invaluable relationships across the globe, and he comes to WMG with a unique range and depth of involvement with both the business and creative communities,” said Bergen. "We are constantly seeking to enhance and expand WMG’s outstanding roster of artists and labels, and Heath will be a tremendous asset as we leave no stone unturned to bring the world’s best music into the WMG family.”

Kudler says he’s “thrilled to be joining WMG at this dynamic time in the company’s illustrious history. There’s a wealth of music in the world looking for the right home, and WMG’s artist-centric culture makes it the most welcoming environment for talent that spans genres and eras. I can’t wait to work with the fantastic WMG team across the globe, and I thank Steve Cooper and Stu Bergen for this wonderful opportunity.”
