OSCAR SONGS SEE SALES SPIKES

Performances on Sunday’s Academy Awards telecast have led to an immediate bounce in track sales of the nominated songs. And as with any awards show, a memorable musical performance moves the sales needle more than a win.

Lady Gaga’s "Til It Happens To You," which provided the ceremony with its most dramatic moment, was up nearly 2,500% vs. Saturday and more than 1,500% vs. the previous week. The song is currently #8 at iTunes.

Sam Smith’s Oscar winner "Writing's On The Wall," from Spectre, was up more than 1,100% vs. 2/27 and up nearly 360% vs. last week to date. It's holding at #14 on the iTunes singles chart.

The Weeknd’s "Earned It," the Fifty Shades of Grey track that’s more than a year old, was up nearly 300% vs. Saturday and more than 100% vs. last week to date. It's sitting at #16 on the iTunes album rundown.
