Charlie Walk, who’s known for his promotion and marketing chops, has also employed his skills as a closer during his tenure at Republic. Walk signed Hailee Steinfeld and Natalie La Rose, each of whom has a platinum single; he helped to forge the label deal with John Varvatos that led to the signing of the Zac Brown Band, whose album went multi-platinum; and he teamed with Joe Jonas to co-create DNCE, whose debut single is approaching platinum and nearing Top 5 at Pop radio.
