Glastonbury founder Michael Eavis

COLDPLAY FOR GLASTONBURY

After months of speculation, Parlophone's Coldplay are indeed set to headline Michael Eavis' Glastonbury Festival this year—a primetime slot that will surely provide another big boost for latest album, A Head Full of Dreams, which returned to reach the U.K.'s Official Albums summit last week after the Super Bowl halftime show. The band will top the Pyramid Stage bill on Sunday, June 26th.

It's the first time an artist has headlined the legendary festival on four occasions, following previous appearances in 2002, 2005 and 2011. Their 2011 set was later voted the Top Glastonbury Moment of the event’s long history by BBC Radio listeners.

The performance will be Coldplay’s only festival show of this year’s A Head Full Of Dreams Tour.

There's two more headliners yet to be announced, with names in the ring including Adele, Foo Fighters, Muse and Elton John.
