LABEL CLOSES DOOR ON PUBCO
The juiciest Polo Lounge chatter on Grammy weekend concerned one major label declaring executives from a publishing company persona non grata. Top label execs were livid over said publisher—which had signed a couple of said label’s biggest artists—hanging out and getting inside info about what's happening at their company—in essence taking advantage of the label’s warm welcome. Lots of speculation as to how this situation might play out.
