XL/Columbia's Adele will be performing a surprise show at L.A.'s Wiltern Friday night, her first gig since the release of the ridiculously gigantic 25, which has earned more than the GNP of many small countries. The singer appeared there in 2009 on her first North American headlining tour. Adele.com registrants got an advance jump on tickets, which you can certainly procure from a friendly resale site if you're prepared to take out a second mortgage.
Adele's sold-out headlining tour kicks off 2/29, and its L.A. venue will not be the intimate Wiltern but six nights at the capacious Staples Center.
For the rest of us, Adele's BBC special airs this week; we plan to enjoy it in our jammies while eating a pint of ice cream and weeping.
