U.K. CHARTS: BOWIE ON TOP IN BLIGHTY AGAIN

Sia has been knocked off her midweek #1 peak by David Bowie, twice, as This Is Acting (Monkey Puzzle/RCA) finishes at #3 on the U.K.’s Official Albums Chart. ZAYN’s “Pillowtalk” (RCA), meanwhile, is a roaring success, notching up 112k combined sales to top the Official Singles Chart and claim the title of the fastest-selling single of 2016 so far. So where’s Rihanna?

ANTI (Virgin EMI) ends its first week at #7; her last three albums hit #1 in Blighty. Can its arrival at physical retail improve its performance in week two? Her lead single, meanwhile, is rising; see below.

Bowie has dethroned himself on the albums chart as 2002 Best Of (Parlophone) rises one place to claim the top albums spot, while swan song Blackstar (RCA) moves down one place to #2. It was a close call - This is Acting was just 1,213 chart sales behind Bowie’s Best Of.

Adele’s 25 (XL) falls two places to #4, while Justin Bieber’s Purpose (Virgin EMI) ends at #5.

As expected, Zayn is the King of the Singles Chart, with 4.97 million streams of “Pillowtalk” contributing to its total sales, and claiming the largest week-one streaming in Blighty by a British male artist of all time.

In the U.K., "Pillowtalk" is the only song to sell more than 100k in a week so far in 2016, and is #1 worldwide on Spotify, with the highest first day and weekly streams for a debut artist track ever. All creating the perfect set-up for what will now be his highly anticipated debut album, Mind of Mine, out on 3/25.

Viral track Jonas Blue’s “Fast Car” (Virgin EMI) moves up one place to #2, while last week's #1, Shawn Mendes’ “Stitches” (Virgin EMI), falls to #3. Rihanna's “Work” is moving up the singles chart, leaping from #13 to #4, and Bieber’s “Love Yourself” completes the Top 5.
