The U.K. office of Daniel Glass’ Glassnote has appointed a Managing Director in the shape of Polydor marketing exec Liz Goodwin. She joins the indie label after 14 years at the UMG imprint, where she played an instrumental role in building the strategy and aesthetic tone of Lana Del Rey from her debut single “Video Games” and onwards.
Glass praised Goodwin’s expertise, “The success she has achieved and the caliber of artists she has worked with speaks for itself,” he continued. “I’m confident she will continue to build upon what is already an exceptional international roster.”
Goodwin will join Director of U.K. & European Operations Sam Rumey, A&R Manager Ed Poston and marketing exec Ellie Hewitt in Glassnote’s U.K. office from March.
Other artists she’s worked with include Elbow (whose campaign for The Seldom Seen Kid won Goodwin Artist Marketing Campaign of the Year at the 2009 Music Week Awards), Snow Patrol, Lady Gaga, Marilyn Manson, 30 Seconds to Mars and Eminem.
