CUMULUS VEEPS OUT

Cumulus Media has named five industry veterans to its corporate programming team as VPs to enhance research, strategy and format chops, and upped nine format, programming and analytics specialists.

Dr. Ed Cohen steps in as VP of Ratings and Research; Doug Hamand is VP of Programming Operations; Cat Thomas becomes VP of CHR and Hot AC; Ralph Cipolla is VP of Analytics and Ken Johnson comes aboard as VP of Urban.

While John Kilgo continues as VP of Label Relations, nine Cumulus execs have been promoted. These include Val Garris, who ascends to VP, Analytics; Greg Frey, now VP, Programming Operations; Aaron Roberts, VP of Programming Communications/Partnerships; Emily Boldon, VP of AC; Troy Hanson, VP of Rock; Brian Thomas, VP of Classic Hits; Charlie Cook, VP of Country; Bill Hess, VP of News-Talk; and Scott Jameson, VP of Classic Rock. Bruce Gilbert remains SVP of Sports for both Cumulus Media and Westwood One.
