DON’T PANIC! YOUR CHART STORY IS HERE

Disco is back! Well, sorta. DCD2’s Panic! at the Disco has claimed their throne on the HITS Album Sales Chart with 171k for Death of a Bachelor. The Crush Music-repped act also tops the Sales Plus Streaming (SPS) Chart with 196k.

Adele’s 25 (XL/Columbia) continues to sell, sell, sell at #2, earning the beloved songstress another 122k and inching her RTD ever so close to the 8m mark.

Fans, meanwhile, continue to mourn the loss of David Bowie in the best way possible by buying his music. Blackstar (Columbia) slides slightly to #3 with 82k, while his Best of Bowie moves to #8 with 23k for Rhino/Parlophone.

Following the untimely passing of another icon—Glenn Frey—the EaglesGreatest Hits ’71-’75 (Rhino) re-enters at #10. That being said, their The Very Best of Eagles (Rhino), Greatest Hits, Vol. 2 (Rhino) and Hell Freezes Over (Geffen) make appearances at #37, #45 and #48.

Razor & Tie’s latest installment of the Kidz Bop Kids series has the second highest debut, bowing at #4 with 46k, and RBMG/Def Jam’s Justin Bieber rounds out the Top 5 with 36k for Purpose. The latter set, by the way, continues to wow at SPS, this week pulling in 97k.

As for the remaining debuts, Reach’s Lecrae (#7), Nash Icon/BMLG’s Hank Williams Jr. (#9), EMI Nashville’s Grammy-nominated Brothers Osborne (#11) and Sparrow’s Jesus Culture (#15) all appear in the Top 15.

And speaking of Grammy noms, Chris Stapleton’s Traveller (Mercury Nashville)—which scored an Album of the Year nod along with others in genre-specific categories—is at #6, up 12%, driven partially by his recent SNL performance.

Thanks to a 99-cent sale at Google Play, Fleetwood Mac’s Greatest Hits (Rhino) moves #44-12, Blake Shelton’s Reloaded: 20 #1 Hits (Warner Bros. Nashville) moves #42-16, Phil CollinsHits (WMG) re-enters the chart at #18, Madonna’s Immaculate Collection (Sire) re-enters at #25, The CarsComplete Greatest Hits re-enters at #27 and Alanis Morisette’s Jagged Little Pill (Warner Bros.) re-enters at #39. Please run, don’t walk, to your nearest karaoke bar.

Streeting this week are albums from UMe’s Megadeth, ADA’s Savages and Capitol’s Coasts, along with the 2016 Grammy Nominees compilation—out via Republic.

In election news, Sarah Palin’s speech endorsing Donald Trump is even funnier when translated into English.
