BOWIE IN THE STREAM (UPDATE)

According to Spotify, streams of David Bowie's music jumped 2,700% worldwide on Monday, as his departure inspired music fans to explore his wide-ranging catalog and final set Blackstar. Bowie's work spurred about 15m streams across various services on that sad day.

For its part, Pandora reports that more than 200k Bowie-themed stations have been created since news of his passing (compared with fewer than 600 on 12/1),  For details on today's copious iTunes traffic, meanwhile, go here.
