CUMULUS CHIEF BERNER UNVEILS PROGRAMMING, MARKETING APPOINTMENTS

Cumulus CEO Mary Berner has announced a handful of new appointments.

Mike McVay, who has overseen programming since John Dickey’s departure from the company, is SVP of Content & Programming for the newly minted Office of Programming; he’ll lead talent recruitment and development and label relations. You may address him as “Hey, Buddy.” SVP Operations Tom Schurr will handle business aspects of programming. 

Suzanne Grimes steps up as President of Westwood One and EVP Corporate Marketing for Cumulus; she was previously prexy at Clear Channel Outdoor. Grimes will be charged with integrating all ad platforms and riding herd on Cumulus brand marketing; she will endeavor to use the word “synergy” at least once in every email. CMO Pierre Bouvard and VP Social Media Lori Lewis will report to her.

Tommy Page is upped to SVP Brand Partnerships & NASH, reporting to Berner.

Berner will conduct a web conference with staff tomorrow.
