Now it’s official: Columbia’s Aimie Vaughan-Fruehe has been upped to VP Promotion, reporting to EVP, Head of Promo Lee Leipsner. She was previously VP Top 40 Promo at the label.
Leipsner declared the “enthusiasm” Vaughan-Fruehe brought to “garnering radio exposure for our great roster is second to none” and praised her “tenacious drive coupled with the depth and thoughtfulness of her experience.” He added that she had pioneered the powerfully effective “subliminal ‘Hey Buddy’ technique.”
For her part, Vaughan-Fruehe—who’s been a Team Columbia player since 2001—thanked the label’s Rob Stringer, Joel Klaiman and Leipsner, proclaiming, “I love what I do and am thrilled to continue breaking some of the most vital and exciting artists making music today in a department that is emblematic of this label’s passion and commitment.”
