BIEBER GETS PADDLED

Justin Bieber crushed it with "What Do You Mean?," setting the record for first-week streams on Spotify.

To celebrate that feat, Spotify presented Biebs with an unusual trophy to mark the accomplishment, tied to the game of ping-pong—something else he's pretty good at.

Bieber recently defeated Spotify CEO Daniel Ek in a match, so the company awarded him a “Golden Paddle” last week in Spotify's New York offices.

Bieber's Purpose was also a record-setter on Spotify, with 205m global streams and 77m U.S. streams in its first week of release.
