The juggernaut that is Adele's 25 just gets bigger, with estimates for her second-week sales in excess of 950k. Could she hit a million in her second at-bat? Having already zoomed past the 4 million mark, the XL/Columbia set is now looking like it could amass a ridiculous 6 million units by the time 2015 ends.
In what was expected to have been a hard fall-off yesterday after the Black Friday weekend, sales were down as little as 1% vs. Sunday at one major retailer, with others averaging around 10% down. If sales hold up, this could put 25 within striking distance of another record, as it would become the first-ever album to sell more than 1m in each of its first two weeks.
How much will the NBC broadcast of her 12/14 Radio City concert and the Christmas rush, among other factors, affect her tally? Stay tuned.
